How many rounds the player has previously played at this week's course — the evidence behind the History part of Course Fit. 0 means no history here.
With no venue history the History component falls back to a slightly-below-average default rather than being guessed.
How it's calculated
This is a count of the evidence behind another number, published so that the other number can be judged rather than taken on trust. It is derived by counting the rounds or events that actually fed the figure it accompanies — not estimated, and not smoothed. It is not a performance measure, it does not enter any ranking on this site, and a player is never advantaged or penalised for it. It exists purely so a reader can tell a well-supported number from a thinly supported one.
How to read it
More rounds mean more direct evidence at this specific course. Zero means the player has no record here, which is common and not a criticism.
What it doesn't say
This is a reliability indicator, not an achievement. A large count does not make the underlying number good, only better supported; a small one does not make it wrong, only uncertain. Its purpose is to stop a striking figure built on a handful of rounds being read with the same confidence as one built on a full season. The most common mistake is to ignore it entirely and treat every number on a page as equally solid — which is exactly how an outlier from four measured rounds ends up quoted as though it described a player's true standard.
