What course pages contain

Every venue the tour has visited in the window has a page — 154 of them: par and yardage, designer, year opened, the grass on the greens and fairways, and the average winning score with the number of editions behind it, so a single freakish year cannot masquerade as a trend. Below that sits the hosting history — every tournament played there, its winner, the winning score and the purse — and, where the tour published it, the hole-by-hole scorecard with each hole's par, yardage, scoring average and difficulty rank. Each event links to its full leaderboard, and each course links to the players with a record there. The atlas view maps every venue geographically, which is usually the faster way to find one.

How course fit is calculated

Each venue carries a profile of what it actually rewards, derived from how the course has played rather than from reputation: whether it favours length, precision off the tee, a particular approach distance band, or scrambling. That profile is what the course-fit model matches players against, and it is shown on the venue page so the reasoning is inspectable rather than asserted. Courses with a long hosting history produce better-supported profiles than first-time hosts, and a venue with too little history to profile honestly says so instead of generating a confident-looking breakdown from nothing. This is the one modelled figure on the site, and it is labelled as a model wherever it appears.

What green type changes about scoring

The grass on the greens is one of the few venue characteristics that reliably suits some players more than others. Bermuda, bent and poa annua putt differently — in grain, in speed through the day, and in how much they punish a stroke that starts slightly offline — and players who grew up on one surface often score measurably better on it years later. OTIS records the green type for every venue and the scoring average each player has posted on each surface, so the claim can be checked rather than assumed. Those columns are sortable on the players index and available as standing leaderboards, which is the quickest way to see who genuinely travels well between surfaces.
