How it's calculated
This is a tour-published record for the season or career, restated here without adjustment or recalculation. The tour is the system of record for it: entries, finishes, prize money and ranking positions are all determined by the tour's own scoring and administration, and OTIS reads the published result. Where a figure was revised after the fact — a disqualification applied late, a ranking recalculated — the revised figure is what appears here, because the alternative is preserving a number the tour itself no longer stands behind.
How to read it
Higher is better, and rare. Even excellent seasons often contain none, so absence of wins is weak evidence of anything on its own.
What it doesn't say
Counting statistics reward opportunity as well as quality. A player who enters more events has more chances to accumulate them, so comparing totals between players with different schedules — or different career lengths — measures availability as much as ability. Rates and per-round figures answer that question better than totals do. They are also era-dependent in ways that are easy to miss: purses, field sizes and the number of events available have all changed across the window covered here, so a total from one decade is not directly comparable with the same total from another. And a season in progress is not a season: these figures keep moving until it closes.
